When you first find out you’re pregnant, you can go from denial to shock to amazement to anxiety in a matter of minutes. And then, those emotions tend to repeat themselves. It can be a lot to handle, especially when it’s an unplanned pregnancy. That’s why we’ve put together some questions and answers for you.

I think I’m pregnant; what should I do?

If you are experiencing an unexpected pregnancy, we strongly suggest confirming your pregnancy with a lab-quality pregnancy test. In addition to this, getting a first-trimester ultrasound can medically establish pregnancy.

According to the March of Dimes, the likelihood of a miscarriage in the first-trimester is between 10-15% of known pregnancies. So, before you decide what to do, you will need to be sure that you are pregnant.

Who can I talk to, and can my partner come too?

Facing a pregnancy when you weren’t expecting it can cause a strain on your relationship. Sometimes you just need someone to listen to you as you discuss your thoughts, emotions, and options. If your partner wants to come too, he is more than welcome. You decide what works best for you.

How much do my options cost? How much is an abortion?

Did you know you have more than one option? We are here to help you understand all of them – abortion, adoption, or parenting.

An ultrasound exam will help you determine the gestational age of your pregnancy. If you’re considering an abortion, they can greatly vary in price – possibly from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand, depending on how far along you are, what location you are in, etc. However, if your pregnancy is not viable, you will not need to pay for an abortion. This is another reason why getting an ultrasound before you make a decision can be very helpful.

Although we do not provide or refer for abortions, we can help you consider your options with physician-reviewed information. Your first appointment with us usually consists of a free pregnancy test and referral for an ultrasound. All of our medical services are provided by licensed medical personnel.
